Our Confirmation program is for sixth through eighth grade students. During their three years in Confirmation, students learn about the Lord's Prayer, Ten Commandments, Apostle's Creed, rituals, sacraments, and Luther's Small Catechism.
Sixth grade children learn more about what it means to be a Lutheran -- the beginnings of the story of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. Students also get the chance to serve as acolytes during worship services.
In seventh grade, students learn more about being Lutheran. They also spend a week at Crossways Bible Camp in eastern Marathon County in the summer following their seventh grade year. They will meet new people, sing songs, and learn about God and the nature around them.
In eighth grade, students affirm their baptism in May. They will continue to learn about their faith, and take what they have learned into other parts of their lives through the confirmation ceremony and beyond. When students affirm baptism, they will write statements of their faith..
